Our Story

Since 2000, our dentists and team at Vista Dental have helped our patients maintain or achieve the beautiful smile they always wanted.

The group roots back to its humble beginnings with a single neighbourhood clinic at Woodlands.

By word of mouth, and thanks to your continual referral by your loved ones and friends, we now operate 9 clinics which are conveniently located at or near MRT stations and bus interchanges.

With close to two decades of experience, Vista Dental has evolved into a brand synonymous with professional and compassionate delivery of dental treatments.

No matter what procedure is required, or if you are simply here for a routine check-up, we are here to help. Even if you have not seen a dentist in a decade, we will advise you with the appropriate treatment options and try our best to eliminate the fears of visiting a dentist.

We believe in providing options for our patients to choose from where the patient's needs are our priority.

We work with you to create a treatment plan that is based on your lifestyle and financial situation. We always give you treatment options to choose and try our best to fit into budget.

Rest assured that we will give you time to consider. However, we understand that most of us are busy. When we find a cavity during your regular dental check-up, we will want to place a tooth filling right away to prevent further decay.

We focus ourselves on being flexible, which allows us to deal with dental issues right away instead of making your schedule multiple appointments. You can use Medisave to pay for certain procedures and we are CHAS and PG accredited.

Dr Andrew Chia

BDS (Singapore)
Dr Andrew graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. In all, he has more than 16 years of professional experience. After graduation he has worked for the Singapore General Hospital, SmileWorks at Paragon Orchard, and has been with Vista Dental Surgery since 2006.

Known for his patience and meticulous demeanour, he has vast experience in managing patients in pain. His primary goal as a practitioner is to help his patients feel comfortable at all times, especially during surgery. Being warm and caring, he enjoys working in a team environment to ensure that his patients get the best possible dental care.

Dr Andrew regularly attends continual professional dental seminars with an interest in surgery, implants and endodontics. He aims to provide patient-centric dentistry by educating patients on their oral health and helping them make informed choices.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys peaceful meditation retreats, adventurous activities like rock climbing, and holds a solo paragliding license. Dr Andrew also volunteers his time and effort to provide free dental services to patients in Nepal and Cambodia and has spent time on several overseas dental mission trips, helping them to regain their confidence through their smiles.

Dr Chan Feng Yi

BDS (Singapore), MDS (Orthodontics) (Singapore), M Orth RCS (Edinburgh), FAMS (Orthodontics)
Dr Chan graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2004. She received numerous academic awards throughout her training and she was constantly on the Dean's List throughout the years of studies. In the final year examinations, she won the IFDEA Gold Medal and the University Silver Medal for being the Best Student in the Final BDS Professional Examination. Post graduation, she took the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Primary Examination and achieved full commendations for all the subjects. She went on to obtain her Master of Dental Surgery in Orthodontics from NUS as well as the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.

She specialises in braces (orthodontic) treatment for both children and adults as well as interceptive treatment for young children and surgical orthodontics for patients with facial and jaw deformities.

Dr Chan is a member of the Singapore Dental Association and the Association of Orthodontists (Singapore). She is a Fellow of the Academy Of Medicine of Singapore and is a registered Dental Specialist in Orthodontics with the Singapore Dental Council.

Dr Nicholas Ong

BDS (Singapore)
Dr Ong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2009. After graduation, he worked with the National Healthcare Group Polyclinics and School Dental Services before moving into private practice.

Dr Ong is keenly interested in implant dentistry and believes in providing wholistic dental care. Outside of dentistry, Dr Ong enjoys reading and playing tennis.

Dr Liu Muzhi

BDS (Singapore)
Dr Liu graduated from the National University of Singapore with a bachelor of dental surgery. After graduation he worked with National Dental Centre of Singapore and Singhealth polyclinics. Thereafter he joined Vista Dental Surgery since 2009.

Dr Liu is keenly interested in oral surgery, dental prosthesis and giving patients a more confident smile. Outside dentistry, Dr Liu enjoys reading, music and sports activities.

Dr Lee Yong He

BDS (Singapore)
Dr Lee began practicing dentistry at the Health Promotion Board from 2007 to 2008, which gained him significant exposure in working with children. Joining the Singapore Armed Forces as a Dental Officer from 2008 to 2011 was a stepping stone for him in his current successes in performing wisdom tooth surgeries due to the abundant opportunities there. He joined Vista Dental Surgery in 2011 and has been at Boon Lay branch since.

Dr Lee believes that communication, proficiency, and responsibility are the three most important traits observed in a good medical professional. Good communication is key to conveying to patients the diagnosis and costs before starting any treatment. A proficient medical professional who provides accurate diagnoses will always enjoy clinical dental treatment success, like well-executed root canal treatments.

Dr Lee is a down-to-earth and cheerful guy. He enjoys watching good comedy movies and TV series. Otherwise, he can be seen reading, watching American TV dramas, and spending quality time with his loved ones.

Dr Nga Joo Yong

BDS (Hons) (University of Queensland)
Dr Nga Joo Yong graduated from University of Queensland in 2014. During her undergraduate years, she was awarded the David Dunlop Memorial Bursary for her academic excellence in Paedodontics and Orthodontics. Upon graduation, Dr Nga worked in a general practice in Brisbane before deciding to move to Singapore in 2016.

Dr Nga enjoys all aspects of dentistry, from cleanings and simple fillings to root canals and surgery. She is particularly interested in dental surgeries such as wisdom tooth removal and difficult extractions, and she strives to make the process more comfortable for patients.

Friendly and approachable, Dr Nga always listens to the patient’s concern and her gentle and empathetic manner has made anxious patients feel more at ease. As dentistry is constantly evolving, Dr Nga understands the importance of continuing dental education and regularly attends courses to improve her knowledge and skill-set.

Outside of work, Dr Nga loves watching movies, travelling and spending quality time with friends and family.

Dr Norhisham Bin Mohd

BDS (Singapore), FRACDS (Australia), MDS (Singapore) (Oral & Maxillofical Surgery)
Dr Norhisham has been practicing for more than 15 years and graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2003 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Upon graduation, he served with Singhealth as a dental officer for 2 years with postings at National Dental Centre as well as with the School Dental Services of the Health Promotion Board.

In 2005, he underwent postgraduate training at the National University of Singapore in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery where he was posted to Singapore General Hospital, National University Hospital, Changi General Hospital and received training in various disciplines such as General surgery, Plastics surgery, Anaesthesia as well as head and neck surgery. He also did calls and attended to emergencies at the A&E department of various hospitals.

In 2007, he became a fellow of the Royal Academia of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) Australia. Upon obtaining his Masters in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr Norhisham went on to serve as a specialist registrar in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery department of National Dental Centre. In 2010, he got married and left for the private sector.

Dr Norhisham served as a Board Member of the Singapore Dental Health Foundation from 2003-2005 and was the Hon. Gen Secretary from 2004-2005 before he pursued his postgraduate studies.

Dr Norhisham is a family man and has tailed down his practicing hours to spend more time with his family as well as pursue his hobbies. He is an avid soccer player who plays amateur league competitive soccer and has played for the Dental Association as well as the medical practitioners in tournaments.

He is also a runner and participates in local races and he also does powerlifting training. He is happily married to a registered nurse and enjoys a good read as well as travelling and having a good laugh with his loved ones.

Dr Sandra Chelvan

BDS (Singapore)
Dr. Sandra graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2004 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. After graduation, she worked in a variety of dental clinics in the public sector. First, she worked with School Dental Services treating children, later on with the Singapore Armed Forces as well as practicing community dental care at the Singhealth Polyclinics.

She has worked at Vista Dental Surgery since 2008 and has a keen interest in Preventive Dentistry and Family Dentistry. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys travelling with her husband, baking desserts and is passionate about being environmentally friendly.
